We have found that when we grow our own food--prepare the earth, plant the seed, weed, water, watch it grow, harvest--we appreciate what we eat so much more. Not only do we benefit from the increased flavour and health benefits of naturally-grown organic produce, but we also benefit from the energy that we have put into the food, and the energy that is now fed back to us.
